RES has been granted a US patent for a new method of inspecting wind turbine blades. The technology enables users to view both internal and external images of blade damage on a single platform.
Part of RES’ 3DX inspection system, the technology combines drones, artificial intelligence, and robotics to provide detailed evaluations of blade condition. It was developed by Swiss firm Sulzer Schmid, which RES acquired in 2024.
