Selmers has developed an automated internal and external blast system for wind tower cones. In particular the possibility to blast internal as well as external surfaces simultaneously will provide manufacturers of wind towers significant benefits.
Also internal surface areas have always been blasted manually. Selmers’ automated blast system does require less physical work than other methods and because of mechanical instead of pneumatic blasting the level of noise is reduced to a minimum. The blast heads are sealed and dust is extracted with a closed loop system.
