The final electrical substation for Dogger Bank C has been floated out to sea for installation. ABB, working with Norwegian contractor Aibel, delivered the complete electrical system for the Dogger Bank C offshore substation.
ABB was appointed in 2019 to supply the electrical infrastructure for all three phases of the project: Dogger Bank A, B and C. The scope includes auxiliary control systems, operational technology (OT) security, information technology (IT) infrastructure, condition monitoring, telecommunications, low voltage power distribution and bus ducts. Dogger Bank is located more than 130 km off the Yorkshire coast in the UK.
