ABO Energy has strengthened its cooperation with electricity producer Encavis. Encavis already operates five wind farms developed by ABO Energy, and has now acquired the Schierenberg wind farm in Brandenburg, Germany, along with signing a cooperation agreement for four additional projects.
The Schierenberg site consists of eight Vestas V150 turbines rated at 6 MW each. The additional portfolio includes two projects in North Rhine-Westphalia (four Nordex N149 turbines, 5.7 MW each, and two Vestas V162 turbines, 6 MW each, repowering), one in Rhineland-Palatinate (two Nordex N149 turbines, 5.7 MW each) and one in Saarland (two Vestas V162 turbines, 6 MW each, repowering). In total, the portfolio amounts to 106.2 MW.
All projects are under construction and scheduled to begin operation between autumn 2026 and spring 2027, with an expected annual generation of around 300,000 MWh. ABO Energy will assume technical and commercial operations management. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
