ABO Energy has secured contracts for three onshore wind projects with a combined capacity of 61.4 MW in the German Federal Network Agency's May 2026 auction. The awarded projects comprise one 7 MW Nordex N163 turbine at Ohlenbüttel in Lower Saxony, the 26.4 MW Hünxe wind farm in North Rhine-Westphalia with four Siemens Gamesa 6.6 MW turbines, and the 28 MW Willingen wind farm in Hesse with four Nordex N163 turbines rated at 7 MW each.
The wind farms are scheduled to enter operation between autumn 2027 and autumn 2028. In the May 2026 auction round, the Federal Network Agency awarded 270 contracts with a combined capacity of approximately 2.5 GW. The average awarded tariff was 5.06 euro cents/kWh, down from 5.54 euro cents/kWh in the previous auction.
