Avangrid and CIP announce installation of the first turbine for Vineyard Wind 1

Avangrid and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) have announced that the Vineyard Wind 1 project completed the installation of the first GE Haliade-X Wind Turbine Generator (WTG).

 

Once completed, the 806MW project will consist of 62 wind turbines with a capacity of 13MW each. Located 15 miles off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard, Vineyard Wind will generate electricity for more than 400,000 homes and businesses in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.
