Morocco has launched a call for tenders for the Koudia Al Baida wind farm repowering project. The Moroccan authorities are looking for a manufacturer which takes care of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the project. By repowering the project the objective is to increase the capacity from 50MW to 120MW.
The Moroccan Sustainable Energy Agency (Masen) manages the project in partnership with Futuren, the subsidiary of the EDF Renewable Group. Developed by Compagnie du Vent and commissioned in 2000 by the National Water and Electricity Office (Onee), Koudia Al Baida Park has 91 turbines in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceina region (northwest Morocco). EPCs can respond to the call for tenders via Masen’s e-tendering platform accessible via https:// masen . local-trus t. com. Applications must be sent before April 30, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. (local time).
