The National Office of electricity and drinking water (ONEE), the Moroccan agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN), and the private developer of the 850MW Integrated Wind Energy Project, consisting of the Nareva Holding (Morocco) and Enel Green Power (Italy) consortium have signed the contracts for the 300MW Boujdour wind farm.
With an installed capacity of 300 MW, this wind farm located about 7 km northeast of the city of Boujdour (Boujdour Province), will be achieved with an investment of 4 billion dirhams. The contracts were signed by Abderrahim El Hafidi, ONEE director general, Mustapha Bakkoury, MASEN CEO and by representatives of the project company Boujdour Wind Farm.
The 850MW Integrated Wind Energy Project consists of five wind farms; Midelt - 180MW, Boujdour - 300MW, Jbel Lahdid in Essaouira - 200MW, Tiskrad- in Tarfaya - 100MW and Tangier II - 70MW.
