Nexif Energy has broke ground of its AUS$ 450-million wind farm project in South Australia. The Lincoln Gap Wind Farm is located 15 kilometres west of Port Augusta in South Australia.
The Lincoln Gap Wind Farm is a 212MW initiative involving the construction and operation of up to 59 Senvion wind turbines. An important aspect of the project is the inclusion of 10MW battery storage at the wind farm as part of a new development to more reliably integrate renewable energy into the National Electricity Market, with the large-scale battery delivering fast response storage capacity. The project will feed into the national electricity grid via the Electranet transmission network and it is expected to be commissioned in late 2018.
