The first wind-energy generator in Serbia will be constructed near Indjija in Vojvodina by the end of the year at latest.
The generator will have installed power of 1MW. The project contract was signed by Mayor of Indjija Goran Jesic and director of Austrian-Serbian firm RE-Energy, Veljko Jankovic. The project is worth € 1.5 million. The generator will be built near the Belgrade-Novi Sad highway. RE-Energy is also counting on starting new projects in Serbia. This is the first step towards the creation of a wind farm consisting of 11 wind turbines of overall power of 25MW and worth almost €30 million.
