Goldwind Australia has secured a Long-Term Energy Service Agreement (LTESA) for the Coppabella Wind Farm, following participation in the inaugural competitive tender process run by AEMO Services.
The LTESA is a contracting structure, under the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, designed to support greater investment certainty and accelerate the construction of new renewable energy generation and storage projects in NSW. The LTESA provides the project with a series of options to enter energy offtake contracts with a NSW government entity, at a pre-agreed price.
The Coppabella Wind Farm is located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales approximately 30km west of Yass. Owned by Goldwind Australia, preparations for construction are underway with full construction of the wind farm expected to commence in late 2023. Once operational, the Coppabella Wind Farm’s renewable energy generation will power around 159,000 Australian homes each year.
