Following the inauguration of the Ashegoda Wind Farm in Ethiopia, CTE Wind Civil Engineering has announced their involvement in the project.
The company designed the foundations for both the Vergnet and Alstom turbines used on the site. Located more than 770 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, the project posed particular difficulties not only due to the remote location of the site, but also as the design had to conform to local standards. In the past two years CTE WIND has undertaken the design of the foundations for wind farms in Morocco and Algeria, and preliminary designs for proposed wind farms in Kenya and South Africa.
