Denmark plans to launch a tender in 2019 for the construction of a 800MW wind farm, the country’s largest offshore park to date.
The location of the wind farm, called Thor, will be in the North Sea 20 kilometres off Nissum Fjord. The wind farm is expected to be connected to the grid between 2024 and 2027. Earlier this year the Danish government has decided to construct three new offshore wind farms, with a capcity of at least 800MW each, in Denmark by2030.
