Enel Green Power has begun construction works on the new Dominica I wind farm in Mexico.
The plant, located in the municipality of Charcas and owned by Dominica Energía Limpia, a subsidiary of Enel Green Power Mexico is the first wind farm located in the state of San Luis Potosí and will be composed of 50 turbines (2MW each) for a total installed capacity of 100MW. The construction of the wind farm requires a total investment of approximately US$ 196 million, financed through the Enel Green Power Group’s own sources. The project is supported by two long-term power purchase agreements (PPA) to supply energy for a total value of around US$ 485 million.
