The final batch of 100 transition pieces for the Bałtyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms has left Vlissingen in the Netherlands for its final destination. The transition pieces were built at Smulders' Hoboken yard and transported to the Vlissingen yard for temporary storage and final sail-away.

The 100 transition pieces were manufactured by the consortium of Smulders and Sif Group for Equinor and Polenergia. They are now ready for offshore installation in the Baltic Sea. The two wind farms are expected to generate enough electricity to supply around 2 million households.
