Haesong Offshore Wind has signed a series of supply chain agreements covering subsea cable manufacturing, transportation, installation and operations support for its 1 GW offshore wind project in South Korea.
The agreements include preferred supplier agreements with LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution, as well as a three-party memorandum of understanding with LS Cable & System and Korea Electric Power Engineering and Construction (KEPCO E&C).
Under the agreements, LS Cable & System will supply subsea cables, LS Marine Solution will be responsible for transportation and installation, and KEPCO E&C will provide engineering and operations and maintenance (O&M) support.
The agreements cover the Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and Haesong Offshore Wind 3 projects, located off Shinan on South Korea’s west coast.
Backed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), the development comprises two phases of 504 MW each, with a total planned capacity of approximately 1 GW.
