Iberdrola has revealed three new offshore wind development projects; Da-Chung Bu Offshore Wind, Guo-Feng Offshore Wind and Ju-Dao Offshore Wind, in Taiwan, with potential capacity of approximately 6GW.
The projects will be located off the coast of Taichung, Changhua and Penghu on the west coast of Taiwan. The water depths at the locations make them suitable for both fixed bottom and floating offshore wind. Iberdrola plans to participate in the upcoming “Zonal Development” auction rounds with these projects. Iberdrola will establish a project office in Taipei to support the development of the projects.
