Iberwind and Onyx InSight have announced hardware and software upgrades to Iberwind’s Vestas V90 3MW fleet. Onyx Insight will be installing ecoCMS on a turbine’s drivetrain.
Triaxial accelerometer sensors monitor vibration as well as turbine rotor balance and all provide a temperature signal. Onyx’s fleetMonitor will allow Iberwind to study turbine performance across its fleet and provide it with the capacity to eventually monitor all turbines in its multi-brand fleet. Supported by a programme of training and technology transfer from Onyx InSight, Iberwind will build their in-house capacity to monitor the condition of their wind turbines.
