IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, will lend US$ 50 million to two wholly-owned subsidiaries of Continuum Wind Energy (India) Private Limited to expand access to clean energy.
IFC also helped mobilise a loan of US$ 100 million for the project from YES Bank. The financing will be used to construct a 170MW wind power plant in Madhya Pradesh. The subsidiaries D. J. Energy Private Limited and Uttar Urja Projects Energy Private Limited will develop the project. In India, IFC has a committed portfolio of about US$ 340 million in renewable energy projects.
