Invenergy Wind LLC has announced that it has recently contracted with General Electric Company (GE) to purchase 400 of GE's 1.5MW wind turbines totalling 600MW for use in projects slated for construction in 2007.
In 2005, Invenergy Wind successfully financed and put into operation three wind energy projects totalling 350MW using the GE 1.5MW wind turbine. In 2006, Invenergy currently has several other projects under construction using GE machines, including the Victory, Camp Springs and Centennial Wind Energy projects. Invenergy's activities over the last two years make it one of the top five wind energy developers in North America.
