Limpet Technology has announced the first contracts related to a new strategic partnership to supply Limpet height safety systems to German wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems SE.
The first two contracts under this new partnership were awarded to upgrade the 1st generation climb assist systems in older technology turbines which do not have service elevators fitted. The first contract is to supply into 9 x MM82 REpower turbines at the ENEL Sources de la Loire wind farm in South East France. The second contract is to supply into 4 x MM92 REpower turbines at the Allianz Kirf site in South West Germany.
