New Zealand-based electricity generator and retailer Mercury has signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract with Vestas for the 119MW Turitea Wind Farm. The Turitea Wind Farm is situated at Turitea, near Palmerston North.
Its 33 Vestas V112-3.45 MW turbines will be delivered in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode and have a hub height of 69 metres. Upon completion, Vestas will commence a 25-year service agreement. Commissioning of operations at Turitea Wind Farm is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2020.
