The Muir Mhòr Offshore Wind Farm has awarded scholarships to two students to support studies related to the offshore wind sector. The initiative forms part of the project’s efforts to support skills development for Scotland’s offshore wind sector through education.
A total of £10,000 has been granted to Kieran Craigen and Magomed Sultygov, who are both pursuing master’s degrees at the University of Strathclyde. Craigen is studying sustainability and environmental studies, while Sultygov is focused on offshore renewable energy.
Muir Mhòr is a planned commercial-scale floating offshore wind project located around 63 km off the Aberdeenshire coast, near Peterhead.
