Aquila Capital has acquired a majority stake in the Norwegian wind farm Midtfjellet. The project has an installed capacity of 110MW and an extension permit of 40MW.

The shares have been purchased from the Norwegian utility Energiselskapet Buskerud AS. Midtfjellet has been connected to the grid since 2013 and contains 44 Nordex N100 and N90 turbines. This transaction increases Aquila Capital’s track record in wind energy to an installed capacity of about 500MW.
