NKT has produced and installed the turnkey HVDC power cable system project for offshore wind park Dogger Bank A. NKT has delivered the 320 kV high-voltage direct current (HVDC) export power cable system for Dogger Bank A located in the UK part of the North Sea.This is the first of three phases of the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm owned by Equinor, SSE Renewables and Vårgrønn. NKT has designed, manufactured and installed the onshore HVAC, on- and offshore HVDC power cable systems for Dogger Bank A and is also the export cable supplier for the coming phases Dogger Bank B and C. When all three phases are fully operational, Dogger Bank will have an installed capacity of 3.6 GW. Dogger Bank B is expected to be fully operational in 2025 and Dogger Bank C in 2026.
