Nobelwind has announced the official close of financial agreements with all key stakeholders and banks for its Nobelwind offshore wind farm.
The project will be built 45 kilometres off the coast of Belgium. The project has raised approximately € 655 million from investors and financial institutions. The European Investment Bank invests € 250 million in the project. Other banks involved are BNP Paribas Fortis, Rabobank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Mizuho Bank. The construction phase is due to start in spring 2016 and it is expected to finalise the project in the second half of 2017. MHI Vestas Offshore Wind will supply 50 V112-3.3 MW turbines for the 165 MW Nobelwind wind power plant. The order has been placed by Nobelwind, who signed up with Parkwind together with reference shareholders Sumitomo Corporation and Meewind.
