Rentel NV plans to order 42 Siemens SWT 7.0-154 direct drive offshore wind turbines for its 295MW offshore wind farm to be constructed off the Belgian coast.
The developer anticipates to start construction work at the project site in 2017-2018. The needed project financing of € 1.25 billion is expected to be concluded by next summer. The completion of the Belgian offshore wind park is scheduled for late 2018.
