Nordex has installed a
total of 17 turbines from the N90/2500 series for its customer Innores A.S. on
the Yuntdag ridge in Turkey.
At the beginning of November 2007, when the
foundations for the wind turbines had been completed, the 13-man Nordex team
started construction work on the towers. They were erected on two contour lines
running in a North-South direction. There are twelve turbines in a row on the
eastern side and five on the western side. By the time the first four were able
to go on grid in mid-February this year Nordex had not only handled the
complete installation, but had also managed transport of the components weighing
a total of 5848 tons - involving eight ship voyages and 170 truckloads from the
port of Aliaga to the location in Yuntdag.
