wpd has ordered 40 wind turbines from Nordex for nine onshore wind projects in Germany, with a combined capacity of 279.2 MW. The orders include service agreements covering turbine maintenance for a period of 15 years.
The supply comprises 36 N163/6.X turbines and four N175/6.X turbines. The turbines will be deployed at wind farms in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Lower Saxony. All units will be installed on hybrid towers. The N163 turbines will have a hub height of 164 metres, while the N175 turbines will be mounted on hybrid towers with a height of 179 metres. Delivery and installation are scheduled for 2027, after which the turbines will mainly operate in 7 MW mode.
