Nordex USA, Inc. will be supplying 19 wind turbines to Exelon Wind, LLC for the next phase of the Beebe Community Wind Project in Gratiot County, Michigan.
The first phase, which was completed in December 2012, features 34 of Nordex’ N117/2400 turbines. The 2.4MW turbines, on 91 meter towers, will be located near Ithaca, Michigan, about 45 miles north of the state capital of Lansing. Turbine deliveries are expected to begin in May 2014. Nordex will be responsible for delivery, commissioning and testing of the turbines and will provide ongoing maintenance under a 20-year Premium Service contract. Project completion and commercial operation are planned for late 2014.
