NV Nordisk Vindkraft AB and funds managed by HgCapital have announced that they have signed agreements for the sale, construction and financing of the 41MW Åmliden wind farm in Malå Municipality, Västerbotten County, Sweden.
The 41MW project was developed by Nordisk Vindkraft, a subsidiary of the RES Group, who will also build the project under an EPC contract using 23 V100- 1.8MW turbines supplied by Vestas. Funds managed by HgCapital provided the equity for the project and arranged 17-year project financing underwritten by Commerzbank. Construction of the Åmliden project will start in early 2011 and the wind farm is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2012.
