Ørsted is proposing the Dadu II offshore wind farm off Changhua, Taiwan, with the project now undergoing environmental assessment and public consultation. The proposed project has a capacity of up to 2,002 MW and would be located approximately 38 km from the Changhua coast.
Dadu II would cover an area of approximately 234.6 km². The proposal allows for up to 143 wind turbines, with individual turbine capacity ranging from 14 MW to 22 MW. The final turbine number and configuration have yet to be determined.
A public consultation meeting for the environmental assessment was held in Changhua on 13 August 2026. The assessment process is examining the potential environmental impacts of the proposed offshore wind farm before the project can progress to subsequent development stages.
The project remains at an early stage of development, with environmental assessment and public consultation ongoing.
