Pipeline Engineering, a brand of Circor Energy, has won a multimillion dollar contract with E.ON to supply subsea cable protection for the Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm.

Pipeline Engineering will supply its Peflex subsea cable protection system designed to protect array cables on offshore wind farms. The wind farm turbine towers and substations are interconnected via subsea array cables and subsea export cables. These require protecting during deployment and during service life from movement due to wave action and other turbulence across the exposed monopile scour zone. Pipeline Engineering's Cable Protection System, provides abrasion protection, impact protection, fatigue protection and cable over-bending protection. Pipeline Engineering will be manufacturing and supplying the system from its purpose built cable protection manufacturing cell in Catterick, North Yorkshire. All components will be manufactured and supplied during 2013.
