RES has secured a five-year operations and maintenance contract with ScottishPower Renewables covering 15 onshore wind farms across the UK. The agreement will be delivered from the company's new Bellshill logistics hub in Scotland.
Under the contract, RES will provide planned preventive and corrective maintenance, including minor component replacement, across ScottishPower Renewables' 588 MW portfolio. The sites include some of the company's largest wind farms, such as the 136 MW Harestanes wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway, together with other projects in Scotland and England.
The Bellshill hub will serve as the operational base for the contract, providing logistics support, component refurbishment and specialist technical resources across the portfolio. The agreement will create 32 new roles based at and supported from the hub, including 16 technician positions, increasing RES' workforce supporting ScottishPower Renewables to almost 100 employees.
