Romax Technology Ltd signed a new contract with Shenyang Blower Works Group Co. Ltd. (SBW) to provide design and development support for DF2000 2MW wind turbine gearboxes.
Under the terms of the agreement, Romax will also provide drawings and
technical documents, training, software tools for design and analysis
(RomaxDesigner for Wind), support on manufacturing, testing, and type
certification for Germanischer Lloyd (GL). The company plans to have
its first prototype turbine gearbox manufactured, tested and
commissioned in 2009 and expect to begin series production in 2010.
Romax has already started the design project, and will begin training
SBW engineers at their headquarters in Shenyang in the New Year.
