RWE and PGE have completed the transaction announced in December, under which PGE has become the sole owner of the F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind development project in the Polish Baltic Sea. The project has a planned capacity of 350 MW and will be located approximately 50 kilometres offshore, north of the Polish town of Ustka.
In addition, the parties finalised the transfer of the environmental decision and related data for the adjacent 44.E.1. development site from RWE to PGE at the end of last year. PGE intends to combine the Baltic II project with its neighbouring Baltica 9 project, which has a capacity of 975 MW, creating a combined offshore wind area with a total capacity of around 1.3 GW.
