Santander Capital Structuring S.A. de C.V. (SCS) and SoWiTec operation GmbH (SoWiTec) have closed a transaction in which each of the parties hold 50% of equity.

SCS has committed to invest up to 100% of the capital required to complete development of a portfolio of four wind farms with an aggregate design capacity estimated between 650 and 850MW depending upon the final turbine configuration adopted. All four projects are being developed under the self-supply scheme of the Mexican Public Electricity Service Act. Once development has been completed, the investors will look to sell their participation to a long term investor. The portfolio consists of 160MW in San Luis Potosi, 200MW in Nuevo Leon and 340MW in Coahuila.
