SgurrEnergy will return to Malawi for the installation and operation of four SgurrMetMasts, as part of a two year project to measure wind energy for the Malawi Ministry of Energy.
The company will erect and operate the 80 metres guyed lattice tower masts at four different sites in Malawi for the wind measurement campaign which is expected to be completed in 2017. The SgurrMetMasts will be manufactured in South Africa and installed by a team from the company. The project follows on from SgurrEnergy’s first project in Malawi in 2014 where they installed two met masts in the country as part of the wider Malawi Renewable Energy Acceleration Programme (MREAP).
