Siemens Gamesa has informed that the order from Orsted and Eversource to supply wind turbines for the Sunrise Wind project (924 MW), off Montauk Point, in New York, is firm and has been booked by Siemens Gamesa as order entry during the fourth quarter of financial year 2022.
Subject to completing the permitting process, the project is expected to be fully operational by 2025. The firm order encompasses the supply, delivery, and installation of 84 units of the SG 11.0-200 DD offshore wind turbine.
