Siemens has received an order for a total of 90 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 270MW for the Snowtown II Wind Farm in Australia. The customer is TrustPower.
The scope of supply encompasses delivery, installation and commissioning of 90 gearless SWT-3.0 wind turbines with a power rating of 3,0MW. Siemens' service team will maintain the wind turbines under a long term service agreement. Installation of the wind turbines is scheduled to begin in 2013, commissioning of the wind power plant is planned for 2014. The Snowtown II Wind Farm will be located approximately 140 km north of Adelaide in South Australia.
