This offshore grout will be used for the structural connections between the steel monopile foundations and the rock bed to which the foundation will be anchored. Furthermore, the grout will also be installed as a skirt backfill between the transition piece and the monopile foundation. The Noirmoufier offshore wind farm will be located in the Bay of Biscay, approximately 17 km off the French coast near Challans and Saint Nazaire. This wind farm will be constructed south of the neighbouring offshore wind farm St. Nazaire, which was earlier already constructed by Deme Offshore. 61 foundations of the grouted monopile/transition piece type with bolted connections will be installed in this wind farm, which has a total capacity of 496 MW.
