The Voivode of West Pomerania has issued two decisions enabling the F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind farm to proceed. This includes granting the building permit for offshore wind turbines, inter-array and telecommunications cables, and an offshore substation for RWE’s F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind farm.

The project scope covered by the decisions includes:

  • Offshore wind turbines
  • Inter-array and telecommunication cables connecting the offshore wind turbines with each other and the groups of wind turbines with the offshore substation
  • An offshore substation that will transform and transmit the energy generated by the offshore wind turbines to land

The 350 MW F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind farm project is being developed approximately 50 km offshore in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea, north of the town of Ustka, and covers an area of approximately 41 km². The F.E.W. Baltic II project is at an advanced stage of preparation, pending further decisions and administrative approvals.
