Alcazar Energy Partners has reached financial close on the first phase of the Štip Wind Farm in North Macedonia. The 131.25 MW project comprises 21 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.25 MW. It has a long-term offtake agreement with an investment-grade international corporation and will operate without government offtake support.

The project represents a total investment of €180 million. The company has secured a senior debt financing package of approximately €115 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation and Erste Group Bank. Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje is providing a separate local value added tax facility.

The Štip Wind Farm is the first of three planned phases within the project cluster. Alcazar Energy Partners is working towards starting construction of the subsequent phases in the coming months. The full cluster is planned to have an installed capacity of up to 396 MW across the municipalities of Štip, Radoviš and Karbinci.
