Senvion has signed a turbine deal with SSE. This is the fourth contract with SSE and Senvion, and will see the manufacturer supplying turbines to SSE’s new Strathy North Wind Farm, near the village of Strathy in Sutherland, Scotland.
Strathy North will consist of 33 Senvion MM82 turbines with a total rated output of 67.65MW. The project received consent from Scottish Ministers in November 2011 and is now under construction. The turbines will be installed in early 2015 before a period of testing and commissioning. The site will be fully operational towards the end of 2015.
