The Crown Estate has announced it has signed Agreements for Lease for six offshore wind projects which could begin to generate green electricity by the end of the decade and have the potential to generate 8GW of renewable electricity.
Three of the six projects are located off the North Wales, Cumbria and Lancashire coast, and three are located in the North Sea off the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coast. The six projects are, Dogger Bank South West (1500MW) and East (1500MW) developed by RWE, the 1500MW Outer Dowsing OWF developed by TotalEnergies and Corio Generation, the 1500MW Mona OWF developed by a consortium of BP and EnBW, the 480MW Moracambe OWF, developed by Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios and Flotation Energy and the 1500MW Morgan OWF developed by a consortium of BP and EnBW. With agreements signed, developers can now further progress their plans for the projects.
