Vattenfall has completed the offshore wind farm Vesterhav Syd in Denmark. All 20 turbines at the offshore wind farm have supplied initial power, and the entire facility is now connected to the Danish power grid.
The turbines were installed between July and September of the previous year, with Vattenfall delivering the first power on November 10, 2023. Subsequently, each turbine has been connected to the grid, achieving 100% completion of the 168 MW wind farm. In 2016, Vattenfall secured the tender for Vesterhav Syd at a rate of 47.5 Danish øre per kWh. Additionally, Vattenfall is progressing with the development of the 176 MW Vesterhav Nord offshore wind farm, situated approximately 80 kilometers from its southern counterpart. The company anticipates connecting Vesterhav Nord to the grid in the first quarter of this year.
