The Danish Energy Agency has announced the decision to prequalify Wpd HOFOR Danish Offshore Consortium, European Energy Nearshore Consortium and Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S for the Nearshore wind tender of 350MW.
The Danish Energy Agency has received five applications for prequalification, three of which have been invited to participate in the coming tender negotiations. The three prequalified tenderers have been selected to submit a first indicative tender for one or more of the six possible nearshore wind farm sites, where price is the only criteria. Compared to the latest tender at Horns Rev 3, the criteria for Nearshore wind has been lowered in order to open op for new players to the offshore wind market and thereby to enhance the competition and secure lower electricity prices both in this tender and in future offshore wind tenders. The nearshore tender will be concluded in spring 2016 and the nearshore wind farms have to be completed by 1 January 2020.
