The Triton Knoll Offshore wind farm has been given development consent by the Department for Energy and Climate Change .
It represents a US$ 5.6 billion investment and will generate 1,200MW from its 288 turbines off the coast of Lincolnshire and Norfolk. The Triton Knoll Offshore wind farm will consist of up to 288 wind turbines with a maximum tip height of up to 220 metres, offshore substations, meteorological stations and underwater cabling to connect the turbines and substations.
