Over the next two years, a wind farm with a total of 60 SG 5.X-170 wind turbines from Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be built at the Björnberget site in central Sweden.

The turbines have a nominal output of 6.2MW. The Björnberget project is being built and managed by Prime Capital. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2020 and completion for the beginning of 2023. The project is jointly realised by the Prime Green Energy Infrastructure Fund (PGEIF) from Prime Capital and Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd. from Israel.

On behalf of Prime Capital and Enlight, TÜV SÜD has been commissioned as Technical Advisor (TA) with a comprehensive review of the technical fundamentals. This includes the examination of wind conditions and energy yield, the project design and the grid connection, the technical examination of the construction contracts and the construction setup, the technical examination of the operating contracts with special consideration of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) under negotiation and the operating expenditures (OPEX) as well as the risk assessment of the investment expenditures (CAPEX) and the construction schedule.
