Vestas has signed with ERG Renew S.p.A. 15-year service contracts for ten wind power plants in Italy for a total capacity of 268MW, including 126 units of V90-3.0MW and V90-2.0MW wind turbines.
The wind power plants covered in these contracts represent half of ERG Renew’s wind installed capacity. Installed between 2002 and 2011, these power plants are located in several provinces of the Campania and Apulia regions. Consisting of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, the 15-year service contracts introduce an energy-based guarantee, which ensures the turbines are fully operational when the wind is blowing. Thus, Vestas guarantees the customer an energy output both for each site covered and for the entire fleet.
